He is a 5'9" LW who packs a punch in both hands. Has a brutal body attack and just seems like he will be in FOTY after FOTY. I am very high on this kid. I have only seen him a handful of times but I have been very very impressed by him. He has the frame to go up to WW and the power as well. I saw he was fighting in the undercard of PBF-Cotto. Would I be crazy to say he is one of the best prospects in boxing? anyone know any other little details about him?
havent seen him. sucks he wont be on the televised portion of the card. but ill look out for him. he was on the USA's top prospects list last year or the year before.
Would it be wrong to say that he is similar to Valero? Except tighter punches. Yep I think he resembles him but he has better punching technique.
Seen him a few times, he's got better since his gift draw in his home town. I Golden Boy threw him into the lion den against Perez and when Omar beat that ass he found a new cash cow. He;s from the Rio Grande Valley. Same as Robert Garcia, James De La Rosa, Eric Molina, Raul Casarez, Rafael Murphy and Luis Zarazua. the Rgv never produced TOP Level World Class fighters. I think some of these guys might make it, a few are already knocking on the door.
I also had no idea who Figueroa was until the Perez fight (where he impressed just about everyone). I'm looking forward to what's ahead for him.
