Honestly a trainer down in London I know trained El Maachi before Maree, but him and Yassine split as they found it hard to work together.

Before Kevin Maree? So you were following him when he had a 4-4 record and he wasn't getting screened on television :p;)

Edit: Fair enough, I read what you said above.

****ing hell Greg you little fanny. Typical of you to start jumping on another bandwagon. Just like you did when the late greats past away last year.

You can keep on the El Maachi bandwagon for all I care. I am 99.99% certain it wont be going too far :good

You glassed you brother yet ??

I never jumped on any band wagon. I was a massive Arguello fan way before he died and people will bakc that up. Forrest I was a fan of when he was boxing as we were similar in build, style etc... So i watched alot of him to learn. And Gatti was a fan for ages and had a career set for about a year before he died.

And no i aint glassed my brother thats harsh

I'm firmly on the El Maachi bandwagon, win, lose or draw. Don't really give a **** what anyone thinks of me for it. Having met the guy, I found him very personable, down to earth and likable. And despite his supreme confidence, he's not in the least bit arrogant. And you cannot find fault with any boxer's attitude for being willing to fight anybody, anytime, anywhere.

I also consider Jeff and Kevin Maree good friends of mine, and I'm more than happy to support them and any boxers they're involved with. I have only been fortunate to see El Maachi box live in the flesh just once (first Spitko fight last summer), but have heard many people's comments and stories (a lot of people who are respected in the trade) about what he does in sparring. It seems to be a consensus opinion that he really is a remarkable talent.

So best of luck to the guy, he's a decent man with a better attitude than seemingly most out there. He's willing to put his face in the fire with anyone. I'm pulling for him whenever he boxes.

Gaz S I respect that and like I have also said before I do hope he gets these chances, because he does look like a nice lad and he genuinely seems willing to mix it with the best. I just can't see him mixing it though. He's poor in my opinion. I would happily eat my words though because I want him to succeed

He has a very good offence and a big punch combine that with his 'mind****' style he is a very good fighter IMO just needs to tighten up his defence. But a real tough fight for anyone at WW-LMW.

It was accidental on his part, anyway Dan Ill just beat him up next time we spar

I never really understood this bandwagon. I've watched him on YouTube and the like, he's a good circus act, very entertaining, great undercard fighter. But is he that good? Not really.
