Fight was close. Thanks for the DQ Drakul, it saved us from from days of "so-and-so got robbed" threads.
Hey, I came to watch Vic Drakula ref not watch a couple of guys beat the crap out of each other. :bart
atrocious job by Drakulich taking Rios word for it at the end, there was no foul there he just took Rios complaining and DQ'D Chaveez had a feeling Chavez would get robbd either way. Total bull**** maybe Drakulich was campaigning to be the ref for Mayweather Maidana, In essence letting the powers that be know what he is capable of. Horrible job just horrible.
drakulich needs to be pulled from any other big fights and suspended for a few months. if a dq is justified so be it but tonight was a disgrace. i've never seen one guy, rios, do the fouling and then the other guy get dq'ed. the first point deduction was an all-time horrible call. people don't pay all that money to watch the ref ruin a fight.
rios is a warrior but he cried his way out of this fight. he knew he was in trouble and couldn't afford another loss. chaves was up on the cards at the time of the stoppage.
most American fighters hold and clinch as their main weapon, but get away with it repeatedly. we're talking excessive here. but as soon as a non American enters the country and does a bit of holding... BOOMSHANKA!!!!! the night was topped off with the main event of juggling clowns. what a night. can't wait for Kell Brook to be ripped off against a juice head in two weeks time. they'll really spoil us with that one.
