    it's true. just saw it on fightnews.com he is fighting some guy named
    michi munoz. This bum was ko'd by vanes martosyan(spl) at 154 and beat by joey gilbert from the contender 1. Is winky's style that bad for TV? How could wright agree to this?

    He needs to fight and this is all he can get it seems. You take what you can get if you aren't in demand.

    but damn! he just fought hopkins and before that trinidad. you'd think he could do better than that, or just retire. It's not like he needs the money.

    When you're an elite name in boxing you don't fight guys like this.
    It's unacceptable. That'd be like vitaly coming back to fight ed mahone
    and he was off 3 years.

    usually fighters can shed ring rust with some quality sparring, but i'd rather see Wright do it in the ring against some nobody than in the gym and stay inactive for another 6 months.

    I never judge on post counts. Post count has nothing to do with boxing knowledge. Hey, maybe you are the smartest most intelligent poster with the most knowledge. But you should know then Winky has been out of the ring for a long time and he hasn't exactly been targeted by any others. Is he supposed to sit by the phone and HOPE some big names calls him for a fight? No, he's gettin in the ring to clear some rust, and hopefully get a better fight afterwards.

    And yes, you obviously know more then me, since you put such a well researched post. :lol: Relax.. Welcome to ESB.:thumbsup

    I suspect Winky will go down the same route as Tua and possibly never fight a serious threat again.

    I already knew winky was out for a year and a half bud. I watch boxing
    as much as you, but lance? Can you tell me one fighter in the caliber
    of wrights' who would take a fight against such a can right after such marquee fights? Get back to me!

    Dude...what does that even have to do with anything? Winky can only get the fights he can get. He's NOT in demand @ 160 or 168. Right now, no one is obligated to fight him or they are busy with fights of their own. Or just fought.

    Tell me who he should fight in December instead.
