on a global scale can Wlad vs Haye come close to generating the $$ of Pac vs Floyd?

well..I think in Europe this fight will garner a lot of interest though I really have no idea how PPV sales go down there..with a solid undercard i think a wlad-haye fight is very promising

    No. Far from being close.

It wouldn't even be close. The casual boxing fan now a days only knows a few names, David Haye is not one of them. It actually surprises the **** out of me when I mention a boxer like Allan Green or Marcos Maidana and someone actually knows who they are.

Casual boxing fans DO know Pac and Mayweather, which is why their fight (if it happens) will be the biggest fight (money wise) in the history of boxing..easily.

It could I think. As high a proportion of Europe would be watching it as Americans watching Floyd v Pac and as many Americans will watch it as Europeans watching Floyd Pac...

Given that the vast majority of the revenue is from PPV sales, no, I don't believe so. The PPV audience in the US is much, much larger than in Europe, where larger boxing matches are generally on either premium networks and not PPV, or even free tv. Would the Wlad/Haye fight sell out a larger arena if it were in Germany or the UK compared to Pacquiao/Mayweather? Almost definitely.

Floyd is a big ticket in the US, the biggest PPV market. Even Pacman is.

Neither Wlad nor Haye are PPV items in the US. On top of that, Haye is completely unknown outside of boxing fan circles. Even Wlad is not very well known to non-boxing fans after all these years.

Why would you answer a question containing the phrase 'global scale' with an answer that is clearly specific to one area only? For instance, I don't know anyone would know who the **** Allan Green is, but girls that I work with who have no interest in boxing know David Haye. Just because something is true in your street doesn't mean it's true in the whole world...

So you're trying to tell me that more people in the UK know David Haye over Pac or Mayweather? Get real man. Never once did I mention "United States only" I said the casual boxing fan, could be anywhere.

Which brings me back to my original point...Doesn't matter WHERE IN THE WORLD you ask people, the Majority are going to know who Mayweather or Pacquiao is. Unlike David Haye, who's only well known in the UK

No. Wlad earns huge money everytime he steps into the ring but he can't compete with such a PPV attraction, especially that HBO turned it's back on the Klitschko's because I quote "Americans can't differentiate two brothers." :patsch
