    10 being the best:

In his prime, and even down the stretch when it became even harder for him to pull off a win with his ridiculous style of fighting. How much did you appreciate and like what this warrior put out in that boxing ring?

About an 8. He had very entertaining fights but I was never a great fan of the guy so I usually never cared much whether he won or lost. Plus, his fights weren't exactly the most skillful of bouts I've seen, and skills have much to do with how high I rate a fight.

i say 9, he's got some loses that weren't pretty exciting.

And based on the votes its pretty clear he's above average when it comes to excitement

I agree. I mainly want to know how many people will not mind watching a guy fight that doesn't have the most skills but has the one of the biggest hearts we've ever seen. I don't mind seeing a fighter like Gatti, I enjoyed watching him fight even a little more than some guys with 5x his talent. And IMO the truth is, this sport could have the most talented boxers/athletes the world has ever seen, but without fighters like Gatti that put on those absolute blood bath all heart performances the sport would decline. It's the bloodbath wars that always remind us that at the backbone of "boxing" its just flat out "fighting", and under certain instances even the best skilled boxers end up up in a fight instead of just a "boxing" match. Not many fighters can juggle being skillful/having definite success in the ring as well as being involved in bloody toe to toe wars to please the fans, it takes special guys to be able to do **** like that. That's why it bothers me whenever a less skillful fighter who does happen to come across success gets shrugged off as overrated because of how much they get hit, or their style despite them winning. They should be getting praised and given complete credit. As for Gatti, I didn't mind that he fell short of being a hall of fame fighter, because the **** that he put on in that ring was ridiculously great for boxing fans.

I at first gave this a ten without thinking. However, I was at his last fight, and say what you want now that I'm saying this in hindsight, but when he walked down the aisle I saw an old beat man. I don't really think I enjoyed watching his last few fights.

That shouldn't have effected the way you voted for him. It hurt every gatti fan to see him get slaughtered by a bum like Gomez. Hes given up a lot of his health in that ring, Gatti is one of a kind.
