    6. A long way from his prime, but still has enough left in him that he can't yet be classed as shot.

if he never went into promoting and was still a hungry fighter looking for that win to guarantee ATG status he'd be like juan manuel marquez his inactivity and loss of desire lead to him being shot.i can garantee you if DLH was more active in 04/05/06 he'd have done much better against floyd

I think Ocsar isn't a hungy fighter in 2008, and won't risk enough to beat the best out htere.

I think his move to 160 kind of messed him up a little. Before he moved there he was fine. His speed was in tact, he fainted with better snap in his shoulders. When he moved back down to fight Mayorga he looked really good. But he didn't seem like he used to.

His speed was descent rather than what it used to look like. In his fight with Floyd he had to chase him rather than box with him like he would have been able to do in the past. He seems big and strong right now. He doesn't have the complete package anymore like he once did in the past. He had the game plan Vargas had against him when he fought Floyd.

His best chances were to get Floyd against the ropes and try to bully him rather than move with him laterally. I think the Oscar before the move to 160 would have given Floyd a MUCH better and tougher fight. And would have had the snap in his punches to bother Floyd because they would have been pretty even in hand speed. I think Oscar actually has a better chance against guys that will be willing to trade with him. I don't like his chances against slick movers anymore.

    I grade him a

Oscar takes care of his condition inbetween fight's (So the Gym don't delpete him)
and has never been in any REAL ring wars that usualy deplete a fighter before their time.
He can still operate at a high level on any given night.

i voted 8 because he is so inactive and imo his focus is as much or even more on being a promoter than being a pro boxer.

    7. Far from being shot. But his head is being pulled in too many directions. He dosen't have 100% focus on his boxing and he's not active enough. That's before even starting on his age and wear and tear.

    7. Really has no business fighting anymore. It's gonna take one more embarrassment to put him at 10.
