This guy is a circus freak

But seriously, he doesn't look healthy to be as much weight drained as he is, he looks like an holocaust survivor

Oh man, I just realized he is roughly in the same weight range as Hisashi Amagasa.

That could be a (literally) MASSIVE featherweight bout in the near future, if they really want to fast-track Maruta.

They could bill it as "Godzilla vs. Mothra" or something, with them being a combined twelve feet tall.

Talking about Amagasa, he's back on June 10th against Patomsith Pathompothong, a stablemate of Patomsuk Patompothong...and Amnat Ruenroeng, Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr and Mike Tawatchi, who fights Wake in the main event on the same show.

He going to US later in year to bulk up before his debut. Sound like we might get regular training footage from now on.

A small reply to a question we asked regarding Maruta's debut (credit to the folks at Morioka for working through my **** Japanese...thanks for nothing Taka!)

Essentially Maruta will debut in late November in Osaka! Not date, venue or opponent have yet been decided.

    Update-
Morioka have announced that the debut will be held on November 22nd in Osaka. They are looking at getting a world ranked foe for the bout which will be a 6 rounder. Though no opponent has been nailed down yet.

The bout will take place at 118 or 122 (though one Japanese paper did incorrectly state 115).

Prior to that Maruta will spend a month in the US and is hoping to spend several days sparring with American fighters. I believe, though I'm not certain, that that time will be spent at the Wild Card.
