Missed opportunity: title should've been "On advice of IB San I bring you Maruta chan"

...keeps the Japanese honorific theme consistent and it even rhymes! :)

    Big news!

Maruta will debut on November 22nd at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center, Osaka and will face Filipino power puncher Jason Canoy (24-5-2, 18), who is currently top 15 ranked by the WBC and IBF and is notable for having stopped Drian Francisco inside a round last time out.

Canoy has never been stopped and is 8-1 (7) in his last 9 fights.

    lol Hinata Maruta

Hinata is a girl's name, and it means sunshine in japanese

even in japanese anime all characters named Hinata are girls, take Naruto's girlfriend as example

This dude looks gay anyway, but if he's not, he must have serious issues

This is similar to being a male born in murica and being named ¨Betty¨ or ¨Jeniffer¨ by your parents

Not really the same, in Japan some names can be used for male AND female.

I know, that's middleweight size but with the right diet he can make it and a lot of those Japanese guys are really tall and skinny for their weight class.

Is this normal for Japanese fighters to face a guy like Canoy in their first pro boxing bout?

    He must be really good.

Why's he remind me of a little girl dancing at a wedding?

Bruce Lee was originally given a girl's name Sai Fon or "Little Pea****" to fool the gods who might take away a male child they did not find favor with.

This isn't normal for any fighter at all, this isn't far off the level that Lomachenko and Murata debuted against.
