When you are talking about punching power, how a guy chooses to fight, his style, will determine a lot of that. I think that should be obvious- some guys fight in a way that emphasizes power, some guys fight cautiously. But you cannot ever say that a guy 'can't' punch because a professional fighter spends all day practicing punching another human that doesn't want to get punched. It should not be surprising when a pro turns one over.

AGREED! - the same can be said of a fighters chin, in regards to how a guy chooses to fight effecting it, someone who sees it all coming who isn't overly combative like Maxim, Ali and Locche are very hard men to stop for there eyes and the way they fought.

Agreed. The saying should be like "size matters most of the time". Obviously a guy who weights 195-200lbs has more leverage and mass to put into a big punch than a guy who is 167-170lbs. But if a big man can only access an arbitrary number of say 25% of his maximum strength in an instant - and a small man can access 90% of his max strength in an instant, then the small man will almost always hit harder. Now, of course this absolutely falls apart when comparing GGG to a guy like Shavers who could clearly produce an insane amount of power - but a guy like Young? Someone who doesn't have much power, and fights like he has none? I just don't see it. Is there anyone Young stopped who Golovkin couldn't?

Put a 213 pound or whatever (no weigh limit) Jimmy Young in the ring with Golovkin's opponents (who all have to be 160 or less the day before) ....and tell him he only gets paid for a WKO.
I think he might tear some heads off.

There are quite a few middleweights and super-middles who have been known to spar with heavyweights. Langford KO'd much bigger men such as Wills and Tate.
