paul deserves respect!! Sergio also deserves some respect, after all hes taking the fight on short notice and hes moving up a weight class to fight a great fighter!! Sergio is very under-rated! That man sure could box

 

Margo was knocked out by a guy who lost to Cotto. I guess that means Margo's win over Cotto was a fluke.

 

Yeah, and Cintron didn't win that fight. He got multiple gifts in that fight on his way to a highly controversial draw.

Williams gets zero credit from me for being willing to fight the guys who would get him the most money and raise his profile. Every ****ing would be boxing celebrity is willing to "fight everyone" before they make it.

 

What about Sergio?

I mean while I'm not sure what weight he's taking this fight in, he's either fighting the top guy at 154 or the 2nd best guy at 160. I'd say he deserves some credit.

 

Paul deserves respect anyway for the willingness to get in there with the best......not that he has. He seems to be very much an avoided fighter. But Fighting Sergio doens't scream a great win. It will be a good win for a guy who is probably a natrual MW who can somehow some way get down to WW and still perfrom incredibly. He'll beat Martinez without a doubt and it will be a decent win but his win of Wink was the best! He's a beast for sure.

 

so you would rather him fight bums rather than fight dangerous opponents that can beat him?? sounds to me like you just dont wanna like the guy no matter what he does.

 

While San and I don't always agree, I see what he's trying to say.

Williams is doing what he should be doing. You don't necessarily give credit to somebody who has a pre-existing duty to try and fight the best for the most money. I think that's his point.
