On Dec. 5th, Win or Lose....Paul Williams deserves MADD Respect!!!

Well Lockett nor Rubio weren't the best at anything in their lives but people seem to still praise Pavlik!:-(

 

Stop guessing about why Williams/Martinez isn't at 154, and read the news. Goosen would not, or could not, offer Sergio enough money to make a title fight worth while, so Martinez agreed to the higher weight in exchange for not putting his title on the line. That's the gospel according to Dan Rafael.

Martinez deserves huge respect for taking the fight with Williams on short notice. He's been calling Paul out for ages, and couldn't get a response until Williams got desparate.

Williams is a very good fighter. That much is obvious. However, he is ridiculously over rated by the boxing media, and numerous posters on various forums. PW holds a very good win over Margarito. He's 1-1 against Quintana, and refuses to even consider a rubber match. He also has a win over a vesion of Winky Wright that had not fought in 21 months, and had not won a fight since Quartey in 2006. That's it; those are the bright spots on PW resume'.

I think Paul holds some stylistic advantages over Martinez that Sergio will not be able to overcome. I'm expecting a clear UD for PW.

 

actually, he get ripped daily by people like you who supposedly like the "other" guy (paul) but seem to turn every one of your posts into some kind of hate for pav. i just didnt want you to think your hate was going unnoticed is all...just lookin' out

now to the thread topic...paul williams is good for boxing, period. martinez is not an easy fight. i'll be pulling for paul and i expect a wide ud (agree w/ boo). this is a HUGE fight for martinez moreso than paul i would think so i'm sure paul will see martinez's best. but i expect paul to be fine and win.

 

Martinez's loss came to Margarito at 147 like 8 years ago. It's pretty damn irrelevant.
