It's been a long, cold winter but boxing is back in a big way. Bradley vs. Provodnikov was a perfect kick start to 2013 and for the next few weeks, we should be loving life. Here's a sample of things ahead, please add any I miss. Saturday March 30 GGG vs. Ishida. The main event isn't that great, but the undercard fight between Edwin Rodriguez and Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna as well as an appearance by Rabchenko make this a pretty solid card. Tony Bellew vs. Isaac Chilemba should draw plenty of interest in the UK. Brandon Rios vs. Mike Alvarado II. A rematch of the best fight I've ever attended live. Even if Alvarado tries to box early, this eventually turns into a slugfest. Saturday April 13 Nonito Donare vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux. About as much skill as you can fit in a ring. A huge fight between two little guys. Saturday April 20 Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Austin Trout. Easily one of the most anticipated bouts of the year. Somebody takes a huge step to starhood. Tyson Fury vs. Steve Cunningham. A UK vs. USA heavyweight bout from the Mecca of boxing, Madison Square Garden. Victor Terrazas vs. Christian Mijares headlines a solid action card in Mexico that also has Vic Darchinian on it. Saturday April 27 Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez vs. Martin Murray and Luis Abregu vs. Antonin Decarie in a card from Argentina. I'm expecting a loud, fun crowd. Amir Khan returns against Julio Diaz Cristobal Arreola finally takes on Bermane Stiverne Zab Judah vs. Danny Garcia headlines a great card from Brooklyn also featuring Peter Quillin vs. Fernando Guerrero and Daniel Jacobs continuing his fight back from cancer. Saturday May 4 Floyd Mayweather vs. Robert Guerrero. Floyd will grab the headlines, but Abner Mares vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon is the fight that has fans most excited. Also J'deon Love against the always game Gabriel Rosado.
 Damnnn!! :guitar ! That is an awesome line up...and some of the less "marquee" shows might be good too. Like this Friday Brian Vera is gonna be on FNF's :good
GGG vs Ishida :good Rios vs Alvarado II :scaredas: Donaire vs Rigondeux :deal Canelo vs Trout :scaredas: Arreola vs Stiverne :good Judah vs Garcia :guitar $May vs Ghost :guitar!! All those are top shelf IMO for one reason or the other, and a lot of the rest of those are worth not missing for sure.
Sorry to get off topic in your thread Jeff, but ol' boys avatar here has me thinking of what I saw in the new Ring Mag had me crackin' up. Already HBO had that graphic of the MW players and everybody on there had their "mean" face on...but GGG who was cheezing ear to ear But in this months Ring there's a deal called "Fighters Favorites". It has 3 fighters listed: Paulie M., Thomas Oosthuizen, and of course GGG Both Paulie and Thomas lists are long, like a good paragraph, but here's GGG's: Music: Micheal Jackson lol Car: Mercedes Benz Food: Meat rofl) Tattoos: none Athlete: Micheal Phelps p) Movie: Apocalypto Video Game: Mario Bros and Tanks lol::rofl) That may not seem so funny unless you seen the big ass lists given by the other two......Plus, what does he have, an Atari and reg Nintendo?? The **** is gold, kind'a...
That's true. He is definitely "different" from the "usual". Hell of a fighter :yep You just have to see the other guys picking X-Box360 and stuff, and GGG says "Tanks" Awesome haha
Another great fight. It's two weeks after Mayweather and the undercard has Lamont Peterson vs. LMM. That's a great card.
That list is awesome, how many fighters you know of that can crack like Golovkin yet keep it simple. Seems like a guy who just wants to fight. GGG really is good boy ! Next couple months are looking strong for sure though, especially this Sat. night. Sorry I fell off topic.
Probably. Fight fans love to complain. My list only covers fights that are immediately on tap. We still have Froch/Kessler 2 and a host of others lined up over the summer.
