I can understand people not being too excited about this one. Firsty because Adamek is a nice guy. I don't want to refer to Haye but I'll have to here. Even people who thought Haye had no chance relished the prospect of seeing him lose badly after all his **** talk, even if it resulted in a boring fight (I thought it was pretty exciting). Adamek is impossible to dislike for any boxing fan. He has class inside and outside the rind, fights regularly, has the heart of a warrior and doesn't tend to have boring fights

The other problem is to most of us it seems like an easy Vitali win. Adamek has earned his high ranking in the division and is deserving of a title shot, but it's hard to see how he can win. Adamek didn't exactly struggle with Grant and McBride, but he didn't walk through them either. Vitali is also an old fighter but ten times the challenge either of those guys possessed.

Also with the Arreola fights we have a measuring stick for both fighters. Adamek won the fight, fought well, showed heart and picked up a big win. But Arreola made Adamek look the smaller man and at times looked like he had him in trouble. That's debatable of course, but it was far from a shut out. On the other hand old Vitali made Arreola look small and gave him a brutal beat down round after round before the fight was stopped. Can you imagine how Vitali would have looked against Grant and McBride? It would have looked something like the Briggs fight, and that's if he doesn't knock either of them out early.

I hope Adamek gives a good account of himself

To be honest Vitali hasnt fought demendaing opponents for a long time. Adamek with his moevement and workrate will be a hard meal for Vitali. Of course that Klitschko is the favorite, but if he wins, it wont be easy. Its frustrating when you are fighting a guy who is in constant movement for 12 rounds and throws a lot of punches from different angles.

Styles makes fights. Arreola was tailor made for Vitali. He was coming forward, doesnt have good technique. Adamek on the other hand changes the direction of movement, posses a very good skills and underrated unorthodox footwork.

He has also improved a lot since fighting Arreola. On 10 September we will see the ultimate version of Adamek at HW, it will be his career defining fight. I want Adamek to win against Vitali, but I know it will be a very hard task. Anything is possible. One thing is certain, if Adamek loses, there wont be any whining and complaining.

Jesus ****ing christ, you really are a stupid ****.

I have a history of winding up over sensitive klitschko fans like yourself, and that means I want Adamek to lose? Do **** off

I didn't really care who won Haye - Wlad, why would I? I liked both guys, but lost a lot of respect for Haye over his heavyweight career before fighting Wlad.

I looked forward to the fight because it was a huge unification fight both men have decent power and suspect punch resistance.

    I predicted the right winner.

I like Adamek, have huge respect for the guy - but just don't rate him very highly at heavyweight.

His last few fights have led me to believe that he has little to no chance against Vitali.

Therefore I'm nowhere near as excited for this fight as a lot of other competitive fights happening this year, and obviously nowhere near as excited as some of the people in this thread.

I will be watching the fight and hoping to be proved wrong in my prediction.

What's pathetic is how ****ing defensive you get about some guy thAt you do not even know. Someone comes into a thread and give their opinion on the fight and because they don't rate your idol as highly as you clearly do you have to derail the thread turning it into another childish, nationalistic argument.

You need to grow up out of this fanboy mentality that you have. I watch boxing to see good fights and good fighters facing off to determine who is better. Haye - Wlad is done, it was a fun build up and the fight went the way that most predicted and the question of who's the better fighter is answered - that's why I like boxing. So please, **** off with your alterior motive ****, it makes you look like an complete ****.

I'm certain Adamek will leave his heart against Vit, the outcome is open - Adamek has skills to outwork Vitali by a mile, this gonna force Vitali to fight his best = can't be anything better.

I expect Adamek to fight, and if he does great he takes three rounds. I do think he will get knocked out about round 9-10-11.
    In
He will make Vitilie miss. He's forty.

I think it's possible that Vitilie might go to plan B, which is jabbing from the classic position. to guard himself.
Again it has to do with age.
Reflex even if he don't get old over night, favors Adamek.
Height and reach and power Vitilie. Reach evens out reflex.
    Foot work Adamek.
Adamek can fight, can box, has all the fundamentals. He is not the slickest man in the ring. Competent.

Adamek does not have the power of a Sanders.
Yes, a perfect three punch combo can put Vitilie down. I don't think there will be that perfect three punch combo. Vitilie is or was hard to hit with a second punch in a row.

Yes I'm a Klitchko fan...I was a Patterson fan, Frazier fan...sooner or later my man will lose. It's the nature of the game.

I like Adamek, and will stay a Vitilie fan, even for the rematch.
Would I root for Adamek if he was to win, both fights vs Vitilie and then fight Wlad.
That would be a very hard desision....no, I've been rooting too long for Wlad.
I don't swap horses in the middle of the stream.
Should he win all four belts...of course....I'd be very happy for him.

He's have to beat the Klitchko's 4 times. I don't think he can do that.

I think in that Adamek has to come in, and throw, he will be timed, and stunned. I do think Vitilie will go for it. That is where Adamek could be dangerous. If Vitilie decides to make it a normal safe beat down; then 9th-10-11th round KO.

shaunster101, who do you think wins that fantasy fight: Haye-Adamek? After reading your posts, I wouldnt be that surprised if you picked Haye. I think that you are underrating Adameks ability to adjust to the opponents style.

I like to see your HW top 10 right now, mine is:

    1. Wladimir
    2. Vitali
    3. Adamek
    4. Haye
    5. Helenius
    6. Povetkin
    7. Chambers
    8. Arreola
    9. Thompson
    10. Solis

Boxers from 4-7 are pretty close in my ranking.

To be honest I cant see anyone who can be ranked above Adamek at 3rd place right now. Adamek is 3rd HW at the moment in almost every respected boxing ranking (including the most respected The Ring ranking).

Haye is after the clear loss, others havent fought a good competition. Althought I would move to the top 5 the winner of Povetkin/Chagaev and the winner of Thompson/Chambers. I would also place the winner of Chisora/Fury at tenth or ninth position.

What I'd like to know is who he considers to be a top rated heavyweight outside K2.
