Deontay Wilder advances to the semifinals. Atleast the American team won't go away empty handed. I hope Wilder gets the gold, it seems possible.

If he can use his height a little better, he'll win the next fight against that italian kid...

I've become a huge fan of Wilder already, but it would be an enormous upset if he were to take out Clemente Russo. The guy has a great, awkward style that is so well suited to the amateurs. If they were in a professional fight, I would put a lot more stock into Wilder's power punching and general strength, but that has been shown to be almost insignificant.

This kid has some talent, putting his vastly more experienced team mates to shame.

I think he will be a hit in the pros and a medal of any colour will boost his profile greatly.

I dont think.. As long as Wilder uses his height and reach, it should be an easy fight... Every punch that was scored for Wilder you can easily see because its coming straight and its from a distance... Wilder can go to the finals as long as he uses that size....
