Rjj...boxing is a different sport than the ufc....anderson silva is my favorite fighter in mma...but he was 1-1 as a pro..he not stepping in with top 10 competition in boxing..greatest technical fighter in mma imo

    Fast foward to 9 minutes.

I don't care how old and shot Roy is, he would still beat Silva with embarrassing ease.

Anderson might be the best striker in MMA but that means ****-all in boxing. All this fight would do is humiliate the UFC.

Roy would find out how easy it is to land left hooks on Silva when he's in his orthadox stance and would be able to time him and lead left hook leads at will.

I would still pick Roy.... But after the Green fight i am not quite as confident as I was, Silva certainly has the power to put this version of Roy out but I am still pretty sure Roy would embarrass him.

if roy was 50 he woul win i have a close friend that boxes and trains at mayweather's gym n vegas and silva trained their and said he wasnt even close to the mid level boxers there as far as reflexes and hand speed he looks fast n the ring with a grappler but no chance n the boxing ring total different skill set and if im not mistaking he boxed and his record was 1-1

At this point, Anderson would destroy Roy imo. I don't think Roy can pull the trigger anymore and I'm pretty sure Anderson would be patient and cautious with his punches and time Roy and catch him.

    vs this...

Anderson tries to fight like Jones, but clearly doesn't have the athleticism or speed to get away with the things that Roy does and as a consequence he will be the one that is caught and knocked out.

More than likely it will be with a lead left hook that starts it and a combination that finishes it.

    BUT

That lead left hook may finish it on its own.

LOL:rofl AND PEYTON MANNING COULD PITCH A NO HITTER IF HE PLAYED BASEBALL....U LOOKING AT HIM FROM WHERE HIS PUNCH IS IN THE UFC...

THIS IS A DIFFERENT SPORT....HE DOESN'T HOLD THE SAME PUNCH WITH THE BIGGER GLOVE NOR DOES HIS STYLE TRANSLATE INTO A BOXING RING VERY WELL...

HE IS THE BEST MMA FIGHTER IN THE WORLD TODAY AND PROBABLY THE GREATEST TECHNICAL MMA FIGHTER OF ALL TIME BUT HE IS NOT MESSING WITH ROY JONES JR IN A BOXING MATCH

Roy would completely **** him. It would be like seeing a Prime RJJ in there. He'd look even better than he did against his 90's opponents. Doesn't matter how shot he is against this class of opponent.

RJJ ten years and ten brutal knockout defeats later still completely rapes Anderson ****in Silva. And that is not an exaggeration.

an MMA guy cant compete with a boxer in boxing, especially one that competed at top amature and pro level for 90 percent of the time, no matter how past it, too much technical stuff and not enough time

a near 50 year old holyfield would beat them too at boxing easy all of those ufc dudes , boxing is its own sport and in ufc they reallty only sparsley use kickboxing imo
