    I remember that. My friend and I were trying to find some place that would let us bet a thousand on Barrett to win by first round knockout.
    Tye Fields was never highly touted; he sucked and everybody knew it. There might have been a few that had a plan to move him into position to get a good pay day but that was always going to be tough because he was that bad.

    Monte was a pretty good fighter. I was ringside when he destroyed the at that time very hyped undefeated Owen "what the heck" Beck on the Spinks vs Judah II undercard. He could fight.

    Fields was never highly touted. He was a big guy moved very very carefully for most of his career. I think Field's people thought Barrett was on enough of a downturn that this fight was very winnable for him. They were very wrong.

    Barrett also has a draw and win (including a knockdown) over David Tua. That makes him an ATG and maybe even GOAT with that on his record seeing we are talking about the incredible Classic forum Tua.
