I’m a fan likewise - also a fan of Criminal Intent.

My dear old Dad used to mistakenly call the former show - SVU, Special Violence Unit. Or, then again, maybe he was having a lend…he was often like that. Nice memories either way. :)

This isn’t Dickie Withers, but it is Mariska:-

Of the modern television shows, I watch Law And Order SVU, Chicago P.D, and Law And Order Organized Crime. Did you know that Mariska Hargitay's mother was 1950's bombshell, the late Jayne Mansfield?

In a post where I gently described having no specifics answered or evidence presented, with some detail, I get back another really vague "you are wrong, insufferable, sick, sick I tell you, & boring too" type of non-answer.
When there is that level of avoidance & projection, especially when I make unmistakable peaceful overtures despite absorbing irrational critiques-to put it in as minimizing, non-provocative terms as possible...

There is else nothing anyone can do to get a healthy attitude & get along.

STILL, nothing new…….Has one quite finished with their fairy tales?…rather than play needy, they should now go reference/interact with others. As stated on another thread - how hard is that?

Thi is Fully Divorced from Reality.
    There is nothing remotely "needy".
Most substantive questions, challenges, friendly overtures are ignored or viewed with paranoia.
I have been directly conversating with many others continually, including just now with a staff member approaching 200K posts.

I cannot help someone who insists on avoiding opportunities for honesty, redemption-or even dealing with & recognizing particular issues.
    Nobody can.

More twisted and self preserving falsehoods. Wonderful. Converse with and interact with others - stop being so needy, constantly showing one’s hand in that regard - it is obvious who needs help.

Agreed. My favorite Hank Voight episode was when he caught his son's killer and burned the killers hand on the really hot electric burner.

Yes I do remember that episode - way to go Hank. Did you see the crossover SVU/Chicago PD episodes featuring Olivia Benson and Hank?

Yes, I saw them, Olivia did not understand Hank, he tortured prisoners for confessions like back in the 1950's before the 1963 ruling on the Miranda Rights.

Fogger (& everyone) you brought up Moore's age in this thread, then I did next before anyone else when presuming to correct you-but further investigation shows that it is completely UNCLEAR if Moore was *almost* 46, almost 47, or what I thought then & may or may not be accurate-just shy of 49.
    Meaning technically still 45, 46, or 48.
So while the most commonly listed birth date (& what was clearly used in all obituaries I have seen, because they all seem to say he died at 84)...ambiguous or conflicting evidence (including both earlier years 1916 & 1917 having some support from the 1920 & 1930 census) ironically seems to show the one age between these candidates, 47, is not plausible.

We both agree that Ali was better both at that time & at his peak-in part due to his preternatural gifts, in part because he is naturally bigger.
But what is amazing is Moore was a top HW AT whatever exact advanced age he was!
As I have written in other threads & among my numerous comments to many posters is the observation that...

I see no actual notable decline in his performance when analyzing his record over time, who he faced, & taking into account moving up to HW.
To me this is MORE impressive than even Foreman's one off of taking the HW title at approaching 46 when Moorer got lax...
Since he fought so well, & usually so often, even late in life...
With basically the same average quality of contenders & rate of success as the rest of his remarkable, most KOs EVER, career.
And was a humanitarian & great guy.

I don't know that any Moore was likely to beat even an Ali at that st(age).
Without a stylistic advantage it was always too much to expect.
Did you see his record over all those years, & the greatness he maintained?

For example, the next fights after he lost to Marciano, he had literally a DOZEN in 1956. Ending with the Patterson fight.
    10 in 1958.
Whatever precise age, he was no spring chicken for any of them: but the only loss of those 22 fights was to a peak Patterson.
But Floyd had barely shy of 6 months rest before their title fight!

    I think that having

than the challenger was a distinct advantage for Patterson-even if he had been young that was more than ideal!
    Agreed?

I prefer the original but Law & Order SUV is my second favorite.

That’s the one where they ride around NYC in SUVs solving crimes, right? Good to see the city pony up and outfit the detectives with a proper set of wheels.
