    Dempsey and John L were the reason I got into boxing history. Both fascinated me 35 years ago and continue to do so to this day. Happy Bday, Champ!

    Dempsey is in my top 10 of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Besides being a great champion he was also a great person, his friendship with Gene Tunney was also wonderful. The Manassa Mauler is a real legend and will live forever
