    In what’s one of the most impressive feats in boxing history, Terrible Terry continued his reign of terror and decided to conquer the lightweight king Frank Erne. He recently knocked out the bantamweight champion Pedlar Palmer and featherweight champion George Dixon.

    One of the p4p greatest and most underrated victories in boxing history. McGovern was a natural BW, whilst Erne is a top 20 all time LW in my view.

    McGovern's star from 1899-1901 burnt every bit as brightly as Henry Armstrong's ever did, albeit it fizzled out much sooner and more dramatically.
