Capn Caveman was a banger as well, had knocked out 20 of 21 opponents!

Was surprised by the reception Hagler got, quite mixed. Guess he was only just starting to get the recognition he deserved prior to the super fights that followed.

 

Buddy was very underrated, brillient technician who had a cronic shoulder problem which hampered him in the first Pea fight as he wasn't able to throw the right with regularity. Simon Brown is another who was underrated from that era.

Also on the 7th March 1987, Tommy 'Hitman' Hearns stopped Dennis Andries in the 10th to win the WBC Light Heavyweight Title, becoming the 12th man to win a world title in 3 weight divisions.

The punch at 5:10 - how Enzo stayed up from that I do not know.

 

It looked like it hit him on the nose, if that had landed on the chin they'd still be trying to wake him up now.

I'll never forget the clip of Enzo when the ref was giving him the count. His hair all over the place, didnt know where he was, he looked like he'd just been abruptly woken up by his hotel fire alarm in the middle of the night.
