Good article Deano, I've been to a couple of MMA events in Scotland and the fans were really passionate, even for fights that were de facto grappling contests. About half the fighters were amateurs, I don't think Scotland has that many gyms that can produce professionals at the moment, though I may be mistaken. I wish On Top the best of luck. I think the UFC is also planning a visit to the Braehead Arena in May for a Fight Night card, hopefully that will give the sport a bit of momentum. Might be up for BAMMA 5, depending on the card and whether or not I can get some mates interested.
Cool! Yep I think you're right about UFC going to the Braehead Arena in May - I think that will only help! Check out the On Top website for the full card for that show - it's really, really strong... And yeah man, I think BAMMA 5 could be really good... I think full fight card could be out tomorrow, don't quote me on that though - I know it's soon regardless!!! If you're Scotland based though, On Top might be worth checking out! I think they could do big things...
