Whereas Prograis has beaten a guy who lost to a well faded Ricky Burns and a guy who beat a well faded Ricky Burns...and got knocked out in 2 rounds by Crawford..yet Crawford is lucky he ran away from him

so Prograis > Crawford now because he beat a guy Crawford KO'd easily, and a guy beaten by a guy Crawford shut out easily lol

Prograis is an up and coming guy. Crawford's career is already established. What is Crawford's excuse for such a poor resume?

Pound for pound ratings are a useful tool in highlighting the best fighters of a given moment.

But they aren't a logic based system. Arguing an actual ranking heirarchy is just my opinion vs your opinion.

Crawford outclasses everyone currently at 140.

His achievements mixed with the way he dismantles the opposition. He makes most fights look super easy, he never really looks troubled.

Postol is still top 5 140 for me, Crawford made him look like a bum. Crawford is so varied in attack, defense, counters and transitions. Mixed with physical tools, he’s tough to beat.

He has some solid wins over Gamboa, Postol, and Diaz.

He unified all the belts at 140.

He's dominated just about everyone he's fought. You can count the number of rounds he's lost on one hand.

Based on what? Prograis is better than anyone Crawford has faced.

I really don't understand this. You said that you 100% agree but you have Crawford in your top 5. If you totally agreed with the TS then you should not put Crawford in your top 5 or even your top 10. It's just a terrible contradiction!

There aren't enough other fighters putting together better resumes to keep him away from such talk, I suppose.

Lomachenko, Canelo, Inoue, Usyk, a few others maybe. Crawford is up there, with no close result on a resume which spans several divisions now.

I have discovered that many prioritize their personal opinion of "form" over accomplishment on P4P lists. At the least, everyone has their own criteria for what qualifies one above or below others on a "P4P list." It is all merely opinion. And going by form with what their eye sees, you can't argue against it since it is what they see. I've always valued resume over anything and everything. I don't see how you can name 10 fighters with a better resume who haven't been recently bested to knock down their current pedigree or made to look relatively inferior.
