Trinidad the welter fought Roy at 170 lbs. Please.

Roy is done like dinner, Tyson was younger than lennox when they fought, yet he was shot to bits while Lewis was still at 90% of his prime, much liek joe now.

Joe cleaned out a division that was pretty good....now he's at 175, but he's better, me thinks, at 168:hey

When did i claim Joe is in the same state of decline as Eubank was, I said if Dawson beat Calzaghe in his last fight the people on here should, if consistant, have it on par with calzaghes win over Eubank, basically what i meant was Joe gets a **** load of critisisim on here when you bring his win over Eubank up for beating past prime fighters, yet they laud a man whos beaten Johnson,Tarver and now the want a 37 year old Calzaghe, seeing as the fight wouldnt be till next year. I give Bhop more credit for making Joe look bad than Joe being done, and a clearer assesment will be made in November, but if you think a fighter whos best work is based on speed and workrate will hold his peak till 37 then IMO you are wrong. Just to clarify, do you think Joe would be in his prime next year?

It doesn't really matter who Calzaghe fought, or is going to fight, or might fight in the future, or whether he retires undefeated, there will always be people on these boards taking precious time out of their lives to say this or that about him, he should fight him or him or him or her etc. Maybe its time to let it go?

Yeah, Joe Calzaghe has been ducking Chad Dawsons for all of what, 15 hours?

One of the dumbest threads ever this is.

168 was the worst cornball division in boxing during Calzaghe's reign. Everybody was at light heavy or middle. That division has very little to no history in the sport of boxing in general. When fighters like Jones/Toney/Mclellan/Benn were there it was hot. But when they left it was not.

    What a loser you are:lol:

Tarver beat the man (Jones), who was then beaten by Hopkins, who was in turn then beaten by Calzaghe.

Your boy has only just beaten Tarver, that doesnt make him the number 1.

Looks like Dawson is the new next big US thing:lol:

same stuff they say about mayweather, joe has been fighting for a while now.he does not need to fight chad or glen, hes about to retire so hes looking for big money fights.after jones he might fight kelly depending on how kelly looks against bhop.

joe is not the best at 175, but i dont think he trying to do that either.give him rjj and maybe another big fight and then he will retire.chad will be the best at that weight.

but all the good fighters at that weight are all damn near 40, glen, tarver, hopkins, roy.chad and joe are the youngest and joe aint no spring chicken.

i dont think joe needs to fight chad to prove anything, thats like when bhop step up to fight taylor when he did not have to.

Except unlike Mayweather, Joe has not beaten any P4P fighters who were not well over 40 years old.
