Once again, if Floyd fought any other way, we wouldn't see the best Floyd.

well floyd is in the boxing business and he is the best boxer not the best fighter

i like it when guys can impose their will on their opponents so would rather watch saul alvarez combinations, shane or pac ko'ing guys

in fights vs diego corrales or hatton and gatti....he put on offense.....they were mesmerizing performances

So he should fight for your and people who think like you entrainment? If you don't find it entertaining, don't watch.. If you don't watch, why should you care how he fights.. That's what he and people who enjoys his fights been saying for years...

I think Tim Dunkin is boring because he is so fundamental and not flashy at all.. I think he should go out there and try to cross guys and dunk on people.. Entertain me.. Oh but I don't watch him, I watch Blake Griffen.. When he plays Blake though, he makes it boring by posting up and doing his signature bank shot that won him 5 rings.. That's what it sounds like you're saying to me...

I like it when guys try to impose their will on a guy but can't seem to hit him.. I like it when a guy moves just enough to make you miss, then for missing you get punched in the face.. I'm not asking GGG to fight like that or complain that he likes to go for the KO punching a guy in the face while getting punched in the face too...

He took 2 beautiful shots from that man and didn't go down and rebounded and beat up Shane for the rest of the round, that was a slip against Judah and he beat up Corley. :thumbsup:deal

He has an IRON MANDIBLE, never dropped officially in 19 years from a punch. :happy

i agree with you objectively speaking floyd is best undefeated or not bc the stuff he does in the ring is exceptional

but you missed my earlier point

he promises to kick ass for marketing to only go safety first....fans get annoyed of the bs..it is frustrating bc he has the ability to bust some ass

Why do you keep using basketball ****ogies to demonstrate a point. I don't watch basketball. I prefer hockey.

Oh I fully agree I shouldn't be watching many of his fights and I don't. It's not his style I don't like it's he unwillingness to push himself to the limit.

I was on the classic section responding to a post, and I said that to me one of the best fights I ever saw in my life was Duran - Barkley.

    Why?

Because Barkley had damn near every conceivable advantage a fighter could want, and still Duran beat him. Barkley, was younger (Duran was 38), far taller 6'1 to 5'7, huge reach advantage, huge power advantage, and had just knocked out Hearns the fight before, the same Hearns who destroyed Duran when they fought. And yet, despite all these disadvantages, Duran had two advantages, boxing skills and experience, and he used those two advantages to negate all the other advantages Barkley had.

So my point is that maybe I'm giving Mayweather too much credit for the skills he has, because I think he could have done something similar to that, but he would never do that because to push yourself to the very limits of your ability, puts at risk the fact that you just might fall short. But to be one of the greatest fighters ever, you have to push yourself enough to risk losing, and in my opinion Mayweather never did that. Even if some call him a top 20 ATG, doesn't it make you wonder if he could have done more? But fighting Berto in his (second) last fight, pretty much sums it up. A meaning less fight against a Class B opponent designed to pad his stats.

If you're truly a fan or even know anything about a Floyd fight, you shouldn't still be getting tricked.. lol I guess I can agree though that if you're looking for a slug fest or KOs and KDs and Floyd says he'll do it, view it like yo boy saying he about to pull the baddest chick at the bar tonight when you know he never pulls anything...

If that cowardly running & holding is Floyd at his best then I'd hate to see the pathetic cheating coward at his worst
