LOL @ this thread Leonard handles Floyd EASY probably by KO if not he takes him to school and wins a shutout. NOT THE SAME CLASS.

There are 3 welterweights in history against whom little Floyd has virtually no chance:

    Robinson
    Leonard
    Hearns.

I don't think the size difference is that great! That said, Sugar Ray is the great big guy against the great littler guy hence the big guy should win. They are equal in many ways, but Floyd has the defensive edge. I think Sugar Ray in his prime ekes out a split decision against the welterweight floyd.

Leonard easy.As much as I hate the *****,he's the best welter I've ever seen in my lifetime. He does everything better than Floyd except the shoulder roll and is naturally much bigger as Floyd's best weight was 130.His ability to adapt mid fight is second to no one I've seen in my lifetime.Floyd wouldn't have fought him anyway so the point is moot.

Mayweather would have his moments and most obviously his best weapon would be his lightning jab. Problem here is, even though Leonard didn't make defense his strong point as Floyd does, he easily was as good as Floyd defensively. Floyd wouldn't have the size, speed, and strength advantages he enjoyed vs. Marquez, the age adv vs. Mosley and Oscar, or size adv he enjoyed vs. Hatton. Judah was the last opponent who was close to being a real threat and did not make Floyd look very well.

Basically what I am sayin is Floyd is great, but is made to look even greater because of his lack of comp and Leonard is 2-3 leagues above Judah who gave Floyd fits. Another very important thing and probably the reason why Leonard would most likely knock out Floyd instead of win a decision over him. Leonard has a history of becoming a ko artist against boxers, like Hearns and Benitez. For example, Hearns not typical of him, was outboxing Leonard and winning the fight up until Leonard timed him and stopped him, Benitez was also stopped. The thing with Leonard is that since he was one of your fastest boxers in history, he knew how a boxer would think and unlike a crude ko artist or a brawler he was a ko artist of a different breed because he had very fast hands. And I also disagree about Floyd being smarter than Leonard because Leonard was smart enough not to engage in anothe toe to toe battle with Duran while Floyd against Mosley showed he could be susceptible into getting into a war after he got tagged by Mosley.

Basically Leonard would counter Floyd's jab's with his rights, Floyd's shoulder roll would not work on Leonard as Leonard would of shoe shined on Floyd, Leonard also had a jab just as fast and stronger than Floyd's, and Floyd would certainly not have a strength adv over Leonard, who was a WW that was capable of knocking out Light Heavyweights; Floyd's last ko was over a 140lber. It would be a chess match at first in which Floyd wins a round or 2 and then Leonard would tag him like Mosley did, but several times through out the entire fight and unlike Mosley, Leonard DOES stop Mayweather. Leonard TKO over Mayweather.

To be honest, it's quite amusing seeing some of the comments here. Most people obviously going against him saying he would lose which I'm not suprised.
But I personally believe there is no fighter in the world today from the Light---Super Welterweight division that can beat him and pretty much most people on the forum will probably agree with me eventhough the talent and the ability that is displayed in the world today maybe the greatest of any era!
*Yet still people want to take the chance to underestimate floyd and ambush his status and reputation by comparing him to a fighter who he will NEVER EVER EVER face in his life!
    * I personally believe floyd would have beaten leonard!
--Eventhough styles do create fights....for a guy whose never been on the canvas before vs a guy who has been on the canvas it's pretty self-explanotary.
--Floyd could box 15 or maybe 20 rounds if he had to and would not tire towards the end.
--His defence was far superior and could handle and control the speed of zab judah..who punches like lightening, so handling speed would'nt be an issue.
--Sugar ray may have been on the backfoot allowing him to showboat and use his trickery but floyd would have used his brain and counter punch and allow himself to move in time making leonard look slow
-- Size is not an issue, im sorry but corralles was the much bigger man and so was delahoya, and floyd pulled out wins in both! He would deal with leonard no problem and even hearns.
-- Also judges these days focus on boxing ability and would like to see a boxing clinic over the course of 12/15 rounds instead of using tricks and 'entertainment' boxing! Floyd = Boxing clinic, Leonard = Trickery....! another reason for why Hagler DID beat Leonard !

Pretty obvious that we will see a Unanimous Decision victory for Floyd, HBO commentators at the end will be talking about why noone can be him and he is p4p the best, and who is next opponent should be....! No issue about this fight at all to be honest !

    * HOWEVER There's no point of talking about this outcome, because whatever you say, it really does not matter, regardless of how much analysis and deep thinking of the fight you have done. As it will never ever happen !

Leonard. Besides being naturally bigger and stronger, he's just a better boxer, imo. SRL by unanimous UD or even KO if Floyd wasn't sufficiently respectful in the media and at the weigh in.
