Well if Ali really didn't stab Frazier in the back then you can take one vote from Frazier and put it to Ali. Slick boxers are my favorite. Extra points for fighters that talk ****.

Ali is the great idol of hippies, liberals and blacks. Scum of the earth all in one.

Frazier has just about the coolest fighting style ever.

    : Frazier > Ali

As much as I admire Ali in general, sadly, he turned out to be a craving for attention media muppet to some extent. Payed with his health for being in the spotlight a bit longer.

Overestimated himself, underestimated other fighters too much and admitted it. He pushed himself BEYOND the limits which was not wise and not cool. With that 'do or die' attitude a lot of boxers would accomplish much more - but is it totally legit and is it woth it?

Frazier looks more grounded and reasonable person. Purely as a fighter in their 3 fights - it's a very close call. Especially when you take Ali's compulsive holding into consideration. I'll go with Joe.

Ey man I would choose a man with a do or die attitude over reasonable 7 days a week and twice on sunday. Thats just me though. I don't think Frazier was just reasonable though he was stubborn as a god damn animal and was ready to give his life for a prizefight.

Craving media attention?? Dude have you seen that attempts to copy Ali? By Holmes Mayweather Frazier Foreman.. everybody in the game. The best athletes are once that are dedicated to the craft 100% and stand up to the pressure but also are human beings and have a sense of how to think for themselves, thier own beliefs and a sense of humor. For example in Basketball would be Charles Barkley

Ali was and is one of my all time favorites, and the best heavyweight to ever lace them up. But he was wrong in many ways for the way he treated Joe, and it's impossible to defend him here.

Ali seems to have dedicated ALL his life to being a great Ali, that unique persona, a special celebrity, a black superman. It's like dedicating MORE than 100%. Like loosing your integrity, prasing yourself more than you're worth it and loosing awareness of your weaknesses.

THAT was going too far. Aside from that - I agree, he really was a special person. Really was an is an inspiration for so many people. Great credit, props and thanks for that.

Ali was a phenomenon that transcended the sport. Without him, Frazier would be ranked along with Ezzard Charles, but irrespective of his boxing skill, his role in life was to be a foil that hoisted Ali to true greatness. Fair? Of course not. But don't be so bitter, Joe, it was a great ride, even as second fiddle.

Norton doesn't belong in that photo. His style gave Ali problems, but his one truly great fight was the war with Holmes, and even that was made dramatic only by the ludicrous scoring that had the fight even going into the last round, when Holmes was clealy dominating. Norton was pulverized by every heavy hitter he ever faced: Earnie Shavers in the first round, George Foreman in the second, and he even finished the fight against Scott Ledoux on unconscious on his feet. Norton couldn't even defend half the title he never won.

It might have not been as pretty as Ali's dancing-like style, but grotesque?

Made it sound like he was Mayorga or something.
