I picked Povetkin. He was the better amateur and is the better pro. Has fought better competition and has looked really good lately. Wilder has looked bad against soft competition. His height won't be enough.

I am not sure Wilder will even take the fight. He may vacate to get out of the fight. I hope I'm wrong. But I think it's only 50/50 this fight happens.

Povetkin has refused to fight Povetkin 3 times now. It's time the WBC enforces their rules, but I think Wilder will fight for the IBF title against a pure bum........................Golovkin was Cotto's mandatory, Cotto fought El Pollo Alvarez instead, now El Pollo will probably drop his paper title rather than fight Golovkin at middleweight. Yeah, Alvarez wants to fight Golovkin at Jr. Middleweight for the middleweight title...................WBC should enforce their rules and strip El Pollo as Golovkin was promised the title should.....................so, I suspect the WBC will have lied two times...................Golovkin weighs in at 159 lbs. for his 160 lb. title fights, I know El Pollo can fight easily at 160, he is heavier than Golovkin. Pac knocked Cotto out, El Pollo could not do that..............

    Style matters.

And Povetkin while good, doesn't have the style. Wilder sucks, but he's all wrong for Pov. Probably Wach is a worse opponent for Wilder than Pov, in spite of having been schooled by him.

Why? Because he's same height , he doesn't need to struggle to land anything.

Dead right Wilder has flaws but for pov this is a bad match up .pov will have to go at Wilder and risk walking into a big shot .one mistake from pov and he is toast.pov would have more chance with fury if he fights a busy fight.should stay away from Wilder.

Povetkin will humiliate Wilder. I don't think people realize the gap between soccer hooligans turned boxers like Szpilka, and Povetkin, a seasoned fighter with a superb Olympic, amateur and professional pedigree, good boxing skill and massive power. It'll be a mismatch.

Yes it almost always comes down to styles. While Wilder has struggled against inferior fighters to Povetkin you can't ignore that Povetkin struggles with height and movement. If Povetkin does somehow win it will be a case of coming from behind, this is no cake walk for Povetkin.

It's a pick em fight for me, but if I had to put money on anyone it's Wilder.
