He doesn't have a high ring IQ. He's never been in with a mayweather or Hopkins type of fighter. If he has a high ring IQ, then so does Jacobs. Which I don't believ to be true for Jacobs. Nothing against him just not what I would call high ring IQ. But yes footwork and his jab are better.

I'd say you have to have a high level of ring IQ with the success he had in the Amateurs as well as winning Silver in the Olympics - though most say he was robbed and deserved the Gold.

I would say the same but he had a hard fight with someone he was a 8-1 favorite over and a guy that's considered his hardest test to date. Keep in mind Pirog knocked Jacobs out why didn't the heavyweight killer?! All that POWER right? If Canelo can nullify GGGods jab I think it gets very interesting.

When you bring up Pac as an example instead of sticking to canelo not being rocked in 7 years against better competition than Cottos brother you already lost the argument. Do you think Miguel Cotto is chopped liver?

IF Canelo can nullify GGG's jab and handle his power, then he has a true possibility to win.

As to Jacobs, I don't know why everyone overrated him. Remember people wanted to see Golovkin face Peter Quillin for so long, and Jacobs knocked Quillin out in 30 seconds. Just as Canelo isn't the same fighter who fought Mayweather, Jacobs wan't the same fighter who fought Pirog. I think he put forth the perfect game-plan. He knew size would be a huge factor, so he ignored the IBF title and put on a ton of weight to be overwhelming heavier than GGG. Then, with his footwork, was able to stick and move. He still got hit, but then was able to take it.

I'd say the Jacobs/GGG fight had a lot to do with styles as well. Jacobs had a the best style possible for facing GGG. Canelo's style is completely different than Jacobs, and what I'd say a better mixture. A smaller counterpuncher who likes to stand in the pocket - make you miss and make you pay - versus a powerhouse who uses intense pressure to break you down.

I used Pacquiao as an analogy because your point was stupid. Canelo hasn't been rocked in 7 years in the same manner that Pacquiao hadn't been knocked out in 10 before Manuel. I'm just showing you that it doesn't matter. If you get caught and your chin can't hold up, your gunna fall. No matter how long you've been reigning.

Canelos slow ass feet will be his downfall this fight. He doesn't use his waist as much as I wish he did when in the pocket. Jacobs style was a reason GGG didn't look God like in there with them, not the weight. You can't use the weight as an excuse because people swear he knocks out heavies, so what's a light heavy weight matter. Saturday will be interesting

Jacobs was a cruiserweight, still got knocked down and later in the fight he was staggered with a left jab by Golovkin and the end of the round, if not he would have been knocked out, but Oscar would have never allowed Alvarez to fight Golovkin if that had happened. Golovkin out boxed Jacobs, out jabbed him and Jacobs is 6 feet 1 inches tall. Rubio was 6 feet 1 inches tall, hard puncher, good chin and Golovkin knocked him out..................Rubio weighed-in over the weight limit also, he was much bigger than Golovkin, could not hurt him. If Golovkin had wanted to knock Jacobs out, he could have done it, Jacobs could not hurt Golovkin, but Golovkin did hurt Jacobs......................Jacobs ran the entire fight...............

Well, the weight did play a factor in his durability. There's no doubt Golovkin has tremendous power based off what many people who have faced him say, so what could be the reason? What made Jacobs so durable that night? Knowing Jacobs ignored 2nd day weigh-in to gain a weight advantage, it had to play a factor. Not saying it was the only factor, but it played a big part.

I don't know about running but it's very possible Canelo goes into a defensive shell when he tastes GGG's power. Joe Louis and Mike Tyson said it well, everyone has a plan until they get hit.

Nope, disagree. When he's hurt Canelo gets pissed off and angry and tries to fire back. He'd be better advised to run or hold. This is going to cost him against GGG.
