Who are some fighters, once known for having good chins, who for whatever reason at some point became significantly less durable?

Happens to basically any fighter with too much faith in their chin.

Battling Nelson was KOed by the fantastic featherweight contender Owen Moran soon after losing the title.

Simon Brown comes to mind. Started suffering stoppage and ko losses late in his career.

    Donovan razor ruddock.
Probably since Mike Tyson shattered his jaw in the second fight, he was pretty much not the same anymore.
Lewis and Morrison sent him to the canvas with relative ease. But during the 2 tyson war, he really showed a great chin.

Tex Cobb ... dropped by Gregg and bounced all over by Dee Collier (if this is true and not a dive) ...

Thanks. Stole my fighter right out from under me.
On account of that I now move on to another fighter who, maybe iron chinned isn't the correct quality to assign but completely losing the ability to take a shot late in his career certainly applies in my view. "Y'all Musta Forgot" about* Roy Jones Jr! Regarding what I wrote about whether "iron chinned" was applicable in Roy's case or not was due to there being a strong case for an argument that maybe it was more his speedy reflexes that helped him to roll with what looked like clean monstrous shots at the last possible instant than him actually taking legit monstrous clean shots. I'm kinda up in the air there.

*See what I did there, kids?

I'm not sure about the Gregg knockdown, but supposedly against Collier, Tex was up the night before the fight drinking and doing cocaine, a sure recipe for disaster even when facing a journeyman like Collier.
