I let it slide because Mayweather was coming out of and 18-month retirement and was looking at getting a solid 12-rounds against a top tier opponent.

Mayweather opted to outbox one of the finest boxers in the world today rather than impose his size to win.

Well, I think Marqueze deserves the payday. I just hope he doesn't end up seriously hurt. Manny will knock him out. I would also be happy with Shane vs. Manny. IF Manny beats him more convincingly than Floyd, it will be the third time to happen. Floyd? I think he could beat Manny. I just wish he would man up.

It is not going to get made at 130, 135, 140, or 147. It is not going to happen. I would love to be proven wrong but it is not going to happen.

Marquez wants it done at 140-142 lbs, I'm thinking why not fight at 147. 147lbs is just the maximum limit, JMM can weigh even below 140 for as long as he likes wherever he feels comfortable and effective, the same for Pac as long as it doesn't exceed the limit.

I think that's what Roach wants. By having the limit at 147, Pacquiao can train without worrying about making weight. He can come in weighing 142, 143, 143 or whatever. At the same time, JMM can come in at whatever he wants, too.

Thank you! I'm so sick of hearing SIZE SIZE SIZE...
I think people need to differentiate between SIZE and WEIGHT. Dropping weight doesn't shorten your arms or height..
Floyd out-BOXED Marquez... he didn't impose his weight. Now for someone like Hatton who just presses on you and leans on you then yeah maybe weight would come into play a little but lets get real.. is 5-6lbs really gonna make a difference?
Floyd out thought, out boxed, Marquez. Period. His weight was not a factor in that fight.

Oh, really? You might want to read JMM's statement after his fight with Floyd. He said something about Floyd being too heavy for him at that fight.

I fear *******s (not to be confused w/Pacquiao fans) will commit suicide the day Manny hits the deck.

And how did the extra weight work for Oscar, Hatton, and Margarito against Pac? The better fighter won in those fights, but Floyd haters and Pac fans refuse to use the same logic the opposite way.

The better fighter is going to win regardless of weight. It's just an excuse, Floyd dominated Marquez, and Pac fought two very very close fights with Marquez.

It doesn't mean anything about how a Pac v Floyd fight would play out, but Pac had no problem against bigger guys, Marquez did.

Is Pac that much better than Marquez, but that is disproven by their two fights.

It goes to show, boxing doesn't always mean A beat B, and B beat C that C can't beat A.

I don't think Pac is ducking Marquez, but Marquez is more hittable at this age, his reflexes are diminished, and he is past his best weight. You cannot deny this.

If Marquez wants this fight he's going to have to blow himself up to 147 a weight the Pacquiao team has seen him peform poorly at (though who ever looked good against Mayweather at any wieght?) that's why they want to stretch him out phyically so they hold all the advantages, but they still worry about a fight even at 147 because they know it's been a while since they faced a non plodding punching bag, thats why there's all this BS from pacman about no one wanting to see the fight etc.

Yeah Roach just wants his fighter to be comfortable :nut, that's why he normally gets people to drain themselves to fight Pacman but they fear Marquez hence they want to blow him up.

It had nothing to do with his opponent.
