Ondrej Pala vs. Konstantin Airich II RBR

Round 3

Big right hand by Pala!! Airich is hurt. Pala keeps walking him down, working the jab into Airich's face. Airich is trying to rally here and there, surging at Pala and flailing both arms at his head, but Pala is just catching and spinning him and then setting up his straight-on attacks once more and keeping the challenger mostly in retreat.

30-27 Pala

 

Round 4

Pala isn't in a hurry to get going this round. A lot of circling and posing. Wild lunging two-fisted assault by Airich with a forward leap, but Pala just leans back against the ropes and slips before passing by Airich and countering him. Pala is circling around Airich and crouching or twisting very deliberately to keep Airich missing wildly. Very low output by Pala, but not much is needed. 1-2 by Pala. Airich flurries his way inside and holds to stall for a moment. Pala shimmies back to lure Airich along and then catches him with a lead right to the face. Airich's face is bleeding. Clinch. Airich dives in with a jab, too high and wide. Clinch. Belt line shot by Airich.

40-36 Pala

 

Round 5

Pala rolls that powdered doughnut around atop his shoulders, effortlessly slipping the jabs and wild breaststroke flurries of Airich. Pala is dominating with just the left jab, keeping the hand low by his hip when not throwing it. Lots of shoving back as Airich tries to dive in and body up against him. Pala is stronger, but Airich seems to have no game plan except to try and out-muscle him on the inside. A few sloppy uppercuts up close by Airich, knocked away with a few backhands by Pala. Close quarter exchange just before the bell, and Pala is caught with a few shots but lands better.

Yeah, he looked alright to me.

 

Round 6

Clinch. Airich connects with a big overhand. Pala has a bit of color marking his face, but it still shows less damage than Airich's. OH ****!! BIG UPPERCUT BY AIRICH!!! Pala was rocked there, and pitched forward into Airich trying to hold on but kept getting hit. Airich backs off at the referee's instructions as Pala has his gum shield replaced. Wow. Unlucky break for Airich. Very long delay; maybe thirty seconds. Pala trots back to the ropes as Airich lunges in on him roping out heavy punches. Pala covers up and circles quickly, then leans in on Airich from the side. Gum shield out again - this time Airich's. Fifteen second break that time. Pala marches up and slams Airich with a right hand over the top, trying to strike preemptively before covering up and backing off again. Wild flurry by Airich.
