Yes. It was. So was the Mazikin performance, which was on the same card as Erkan Teper vs. Robert Hawkins. That's where most of my compliments to Pala came from - mostly in that one day, comparing him to Teper based on their respective performances against similar level opponents on the same card. Comparing him to Erkan Teper, who he looked much better than. Who he IS much better than. That doesn't mean he's world class elite. It means he's much better than Teper, who I don't really rate as a very promising heavy at all.

Hype him so much? What ****ing hype are you talking about?

The times that I'd seen him, he looked good. So I said he looked good.

    WTF are you talking about?

    I agree, IB.

I thought Pala didn't look as quick and sharp today as he has in the past (such as in Pala-Airich I). He appeared a bit softer too.

I wonder if the poor management (lack of quality sparring and inactivity) has affected him? He fought twice in 2011, against Mazikin (who he'd already beaten) and against old cruiserweight Darnell Wilson.

I only joined ESB last year. and after he bet Wilson I could have sworn you started saying he had so much potential, Maybe I am wrong. :huh

And yeah Teper looked shitty tonight, Salif is tough though and I thought KOing him was impressive last fight of his.

IB stop ****ing lying, I heard you claim countless times that Pala would spark the Klitschkos and bring excitement back to the division. You're just mad now because your favourite fighter got knocked out. Get over it you Palatard :bart

What I mean is you made like he was a contender/prospect when meanwhile I believe he's just a really, really Good journeyman, Like Walker for example.

Maybe I am wrong, So what do you think of Pala IB?

I remember Danny Williams saying that Airich was the hardest puncher he fought (Vitali, Tyson, Platov)

I'm surprised, but I'm not that surprised. I thought Pala was the goods. But possibly I overestimated him.

Airich isn't much of a fighter, but he is strong as hell, and he can definitely punch. When Airich fights, there's always the possibility that he can wear his opponent down and stop him. The guy shouldn't be underestimated.

I've heard from boxing people that Oner is deliberately pushing Airich up the ratings, just to set him up as a stepping stone for Solis. Solis has been out of action for so long that he's no longer rated, and he'll need a win over a rated guy to get reestablished.

It's all about setting up a beatable opponent for Solis. That's what Oner is thinking.

But who knows...maybe Airich could upset Solis?

Pala blows. For crying out loud, he lost to Boytsov years ago.

You never even saw the fight, did you Bathory? Pala was more competitive with Boytsov than anyone else has ever been.

It was a very close fight until Pala got a cut, and the ref stopped it even though the cut wasn't that bad.
