I like many others I believe wish for the days were there was a single belt per division, where contenders could not use winning a belt to dodge fights the fans want to see, and the days when everyone knew with complete certainty who the real champion is. Right now as you all know things are getting more and more stupid with the belts. My question is can you see any situation were it could go back to being one belt per division?
Not one belt maybe, but once a good boxer unifies all belts, he may be shaping an era like klitschko did, being the man to beat in a division.
I could live with 4 belts if they permanently did away with interims, regular/super, and any other weird distinctions
There should be a lawsuit where fighters force the organizations to rank them according to their rules regardless of whether they hold a belt in another organization. That would solve everything. There are about 50 champions currently. It would just take a few to form a class action lawsuit.
