Im not saying that he should have changed his style and become one of those classic boxer punchers or anything. I know that his unorthodox style worked great when he was at his prime, and no changes were needed. But when his relexes started to fade, a solid jab and fundementals would have been beneficial to him. It would have given him more to fall back on than just natural talent. Anyways a great jab is always an asset to a fighter imo:thumbsup

I could be wrong though, maybe trying to be conventional would never have worked for him, regardless of what qualities he had at his disposal, whio knows :conf

Carl Froch - lacks speed and world class technical ability to move into the elite level. he has great heart, determination, a solid chin and has decent all round fundamentals. He looks good technically against guys like Abraham, Pascal and Kessler (world level boxers) who aren't the finest technicians or fast punchers but anyone with good speed who can operate technically at world level will always give him problems i.e Taylor, Dirrell, Ward and even to a small degree old man Johnson.

He also gets marked down for power at world level but I see that more as a side to the above. He digs enough to get respect at world level, he has just been in a lot of big fights in a row where you aren't expected to get many KO's.

    Victor Ortiz - lacks concentration

Amir Khan - lacks composure under pressure, can't infight, hasn't got a great ring IQ

juan Manuel Lopez - lacks any defence, thinks he has the power of Shavers but only a featherweight

So Khan is more 'one card in the deck' than one card short of a full deck.

Danny Williams- Consistency , one night he'd look brilliant, the next fight he could have a shocker, never going to be world level but definatly could have operated at a higher level for longer

malignaggi is an obvious one for lack of power, not saying he would have been an elite boxer but he certainly would have been a much better boxer had he had a dig on him
