Anniversary was five weeks ago tomorrow, in fact - 23rd of February. Can't believe the occasion came and went to no fanfare. :ohno

Was it after this bout or the rematch that Thompson made his epic speech announcing his intent to break his wife's hips and "put her in a wheelchair" by way of rough celebratory intercourse? Legend. :sisi1

This was truly quite the upset when it happened, folks may not recall. Then undefeated Price was seen as something of a younger and not-quite-as-good but still reasonable facsimile stylistically and in dimensions for WK, against whom Thompson had two stoppage losses.

Was it this fight when Fury was ringside and they were building a potential fight between the two when he said that Price is "getting it" and he'd beat up Bellew in between rounds lol.

No he said that at another fight on Channel 5. Price has just stopped Audley in about 30 seconds on Boxnation just before the interview when Fury called him a big, stiff idiot.

Absolutely loved seeing Thompson storm around the ring after screaming “I told you not to fall for the tricks” after that win. I loved everything about the two fights pre and post each fight.

Price was never the same again, totally destroyed him, took his heart, his soul, chewed them up and spat them all over Liverpool, which makes it even better that, despite all of this, he still battered Dave Allen into leaving the ring on a stretcher years down the line!

Exactly that and the reason why you don’t play boxing Dave Allen.

The famous post fight interview when Tiger Tony stated that 'he was so happy that his wife was going to get a serious one tonight and need a wheelchair'

The second fight was probably the first and last time I've won money betting on boxing...paid for my weekend out at uni ha. There were great odds on Thompson by KO again...

If ever there was a case of someone losing their soul in the ring it was David Price in those two fights vs Tony Thompson.

Everything about the man deteriorated following that. Punch resistance, punching power, resilience and heart. All gone…
