Now that Khan got exposed, I can't help but wonder what would've happened to Calzaghe if Warren hadn't had him spend 10 years fighting creampuffs in Whales, defending his worthless title. To his credit though, he did finally step up and unify so I have to respect him for that....but he's done so much **** talking and flip flopping with respect to Jones and Pavlik that I just want nothing more than for Jones to beat him down....I don't know how likely that is but I can still hope. Now on to David Haye. I wonder what he's thinking right now after seeing his fellow **** talking, glass jawed Brit get starched tonight in the first round. Got the feeling the same thing is coming his way, except he's gonna fall even harder due to the level of crap that's spewed out his mouth. No disrespect to British fans because I like guys like Hatton and Froch, but Khan, Calzaghe and Haye's mouths make it easy for me to route against them. Junior Witter also comes to mind with all the crap he talked, but than again little Tim Bradley from the good Ole U S of A already humbled his cocky ass...anyway, congratulations to Prescott for shutting that punk up... "One down, two to go!"
How can you compare an overhyped prospect who has accomplished ****all in the sport to a very solid fighter who has a long unbeaten record against decent opponents. Think before you post horse ****.
leave Calzzghe out of it. Khan and Fraudley were pathetic hype jobs and Haye is getting in that territory too now, even though he is pretty good. He's getting way overhyped now and also has a shite chin....he's next to get brutally exposed. Hatton was another ridiculously overhyped British fighter who got exposed and knocked out badly with a weak chin. but you cannot have Calzaghe in the same bracket as that lot...he's a legitimately top class fighter with a good chin.
Oh the hate from the Britsh fanboys....did you not read my ****ing thread? I said I respect Slappy for the latter part of his career but i question him never fighting outside of Whales until he was in the twilight of his career. I never said JC wasn't a solid fighter anywhere in my thread...but I did say I want to see him lose for all the flip flopping he's been doing with regards to Jones and Pavlik. So **** off if you can't handle the truth about some of your f'n overrhyped british fighters...and if you want to brag about that crap in the Hopkins fight as some great win I feel sorry for you.
lol i'm not even a brit putting Calzaghe and even David Haye in the same bracket as Khan't is ******ed
The only correlation I made between Khan and Calzaghe is that the're British, arrogant and talk a ton of ****. But I unapologetically will continue to compare Khan to David Haye because they are both unproven (well come to think of it, they've both proven that they can't take a punch) and they both talk a lot of ****. Yeah, Haye proved himself at Cruiser, but he's not in that div. anymore is he? Haye hasn't even fought one top ten guy at heavyweight yet he already claims to be the heir apparent....until he backs up the talk, I'll compare him to Khan until I get blue in the face.
This donkey is obviously just trying to brew up a bit of a storm. He must realise that he can't compare an overhyped prospect to a man who has DOMINATED the supermiddle weight division for YEARS. :deal The fact that he has referred to Calzaghe, faighting in "Whales", which is by reckoning is large mammal rather than a country in Britain proves at least one thing to me. atsch
Nowhere did I say Calzaghe can't take a punch. Again, read my thread and the reason why I mentioned his name.
Oh please, lets not start this **** ... Calzaghe fights anyone and everyone. He was taking Mikkel Kessler's power bomb uppercuts, and walked right through it. Not to mention the quality of opposition he's faced far surpasses Khan's. I'm sorry to say, but Khan was an overhyped prospect. I think he'll be back, with a hopefully improved defense, now that his brittle chin has been exposed. I don't believe he's ruined, bad knock out yes, but not ruined. Vargas was a ruined fighter after Trinidad, he took a serious beating. Khan was out in 53 seconds.
