Hard to say who would actually win a canelo-ggg fight...face it, canelo wasn't impressive vs khan. Yes, yes, i know...he landed the haymaker.... that took out a much smaller by TWO divisions guy with a notoriously glassy jaw. but prior to that, canelo was getting ouboxed and exposed for the wide-swinging plodder he is. but, know what? at least khan and cotto are pretty good fighters. so, it's expected that they will pose problems to even the top fighters. on the other hand, ggg looks great dominating nobodies...a totally meaningless feat for everybody except fan boys and ggg's pocket book.

at the end of the day, i gotta go with canelo, because, as much as I think he's flawed and overrated, at least I know what he can do...still don't know what ggg's caliber is, but i'd be surprised if ggg can avoid canelo's hooks and counter rights...ggg too slow and easy to hit.

GGG vs Ward would be a great fight, but first, Canelo vs GGG should fight.

They are both PFP fighters and they are the same size.

Ward has a natural advantage vs GGG. Let's see how this fight plays out before GGG moves up.

Ward is at 175 now. Fight seems unfeasible unless it's made at 168.

ward chased ggg for a year...ggg didn't want it then. so ward moved up to lhw ...no point in revisiting this matchup.

Seriously GGG shoukd fight Canelo, then Saunders, and then go up to 168 for a title, then 175 for Ward or Kovalev. That would be a great run.

You could also say Ward avoided fighting for a year. Who did Ward fight in that time frame?

We'll see Ward's true colors if he decides to fight Kovalev and it actually happens, like in the ring for real.

When that happens, nothing but respect. But for now, Ward is no different than GGG.

dude, don't ever, evereverever, put ward in the same category as ggg....ward was willing to come back from a long layoff and make ggg his FIRST opponent back. ward has ALREADY signed to fight kkkovalev. there's no frickin comparison. ggg has refused to fight ward, lara and anybody with a fkin pulse who might give him problems.

after last night, i woiuldn't be surprised if ggg decided to change his tune and pursue a fight with tureano johnson instead....and i say this even as i observe that canelo was not impressive, at least not to me.
