He looks pretty gaunt though... At least he made weight, shows that he's dedicated and serious about this run. I'll reserve judgement until seeing how he performs against a top 20-30 CW.

Extremely padded record... Perez will probably take this guy out in 2-3 rounds tops.

Cw is full of possibilities. Usyk won't stay long and Lebedev is there for the taking.
And even Gassiev will likely outgrow the division.

Yeah, but likely only a fringe contender. Perez's glass jaw will always limit his competitiveness at the top level.

When was the last time a fighter found success while moving down in weight?
Donaire went back down to 122 to reclaim a belt.

Yeah... But CW does have a long history of glass jaw or at the very least suspect chinned champions though! But with the big punchers today who have some intelligence to their game, yeah it's hard seeing Perez compete with them.

Wont do well, losing 70lbs and expect to be as sharp as the other cruiserweights is a big no no.

Biscak's last opponent was his first with a winning record (which he then rendered even) at 5-4.

Guys with solid chins don't typically get sparked out like this guy did. Maybe his whiskers will hold up better at cruiser, but I doubt it.
