I think if Perez catches a left hook from Gassiev or Kudryashov it's night night. Perez had a solid chin but Povetkin cracked it.
Kudryashov is sloppier and more one dimensional than Perez. We saw how much success Durodola had against Kudryashov. If he lands right Kudryashov could definitely blast him out, but assuming he's comfortable at the weight I'd actually favour Perez.
Needs to hang with K2 and he'll defo get some fights. Olafabi is worn enough, but still good for rds, and Banks would likely take another L to boost a K2 fighter. Banks and Ola on the CV would elevate him in the rankings, and a shot at Usyk would be all but guaranteed.
Perez never was dropped or stopped in amateurs and in professionals before the Povetkin fight. So I ask how he could crack Perez's chin with one punch?Haha.
Mike Perez is possible for World Boxing Super Series. The Mike Perez [22(14)-2(1)-1] comeback will continue with the backing of Sky Sports. The former heavyweight contender returned to the ring after over two years out earlier this month in Belfast. During his long break from the ring Perez got himself into strong mental and physical shape and re-emerged as a cruiserweight. The reinvigorated Cork-Cuban featured on the undercard of the Ryan Burnett v Lee Haskins IBF bantamweight world title fight at the SSE Odyssey Arena. Perez is possible for World That night saw Perez presented with no challenge whatsoever as he put Slovakian champion Viktor Biscak down and out inside 30 seconds. Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn spoke of a desire to work with the 31 year old Leesider and has since mentioned the possibility of him boxing in the World Boxing Super Series.* First however, Perez will box this coming Saturday [July 1st] at the O2 Arena in London on the Sky Sports ‘Summertime Brawl’ card headlined by the Frank Buglioni v Ricky Summers British title fight. Since his easy win in Belfast, Perez has been sparring with Wexford’s Massachusetts State heavyweight champion Niall Kennedy [8(5)-0]. An opponent for the Caribbean boxer has yet to be confirmed, and Perez is listed to be competing in a six-round contest. *The World Boxing Super Series is an eight-man cruiserweight elimination tournament (there is also a super middleweight bracket) set to begin in September and featuring a $50,000,000 prize pool between the two weights. So far confirmed for the cruiserweights are WBC champion Mairis Breidis, IBF champion Murat Gassiev, former IBF and WBC champ Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, former WBO champ Marco Huck, and WBA title challenger Yunier Dorticos – while WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk, former WBO champ Krzysztof Glowacki, and big-punching Russian Dmitry Kudryashov are all rumoured.
That's how you do it... High activity against any kind of opposition will get you ranked in the ABC's if you're a former contender.
