Only three spots left, and with Glowacki and Kudryashov in but only not announced and Usyk supposedly likely his chance is slim. I would've liked Perez instead of Wlodarczyk though. As stacked as cruiser is we can't complain. Maybe Mike against Lebedev later this year?

I think we will see Kudryashov/Perez in the tournament. Perez by knockout.

Perez completes a star-studded cruiserweight competition that comprises all four reigning world champions, two former world champions and a KO king. Perez fancies his chances to win at all. “I am very happy to be part of the World Boxing Super Series,” he said. “It´s a very exciting tournament and the perfect opportunity for me to prove that I can be the best cruiserweight in the world.” Perez completes a star-studded cruiserweight competition that comprises all four reigning world champions, two former world champions and a KO king. What chance would you give Perez against the other WBSS contenders?

No chance against Usyk, Usyk will outbox him and would tie him up every time he throws something big, Usyk can take hard shots as well, so that will give him an advantage as well. He would beat up Huck and win by stoppage because Huck is past his best. I think Wlodarczyk would beat him because he has great technical skills, power and extensive experience on his side. Perez against Briedis would be a blood bath, fight of chins. Perez/Briedis is a 50/50 fight. Gasiev would be a bad match up for Perez because of Gasiev's fighting style.

Perez came off a long layoff and moved down a weight class, shedding a ton of weight in the process. He looked pretty gaunt to me, I've seen it before and these kind of weight cuts can sometimes have disastrous effects on a career, especially one that was already in jeopardy. In short.. Assuming that Perez is actually healthy and hasn't lost too much then he can probably hang with these guys as you suggested, but that isn't a given... His last fight wasn't a very good measuring stick for how he stacks up at CW either. So it will all come down to this tournament for 'The Rebel' make it or break it. I really have no idea what to expect from him result wise here....

Look at his twitter page time line, he dropped the weight steadily. It took 2 years for him to drop all that weight.

Little did Kennedy know then that Briedis would go on to hit the heights which he has and, while the Celtic Warriors man acknowledges that the Baltic boxer has made improvements, he is hugely confident that Perez will prevail when the two meet in September or October.

‘Boom Boom Baz’ told Irish-Boxing.com that “I had the honour of sparring a lot of rounds with Mike and he is in phenomenal shape.”

“Briedis is a good fighter, one who has improved massively – but Mike Perez can do things that very few fighters can, he is an exceptional fighter, unreal angles, and can really bang – I know.”

“I can only see the fight going one way and that’s a Mike Perez stoppage.”

“Mike has went under the radar in this country way to much for his talent and, being honest, I’ve never shared the ring with anyone as talented and that’s no insult to the people I’ve sparred because this man is the real deal in my opinion and this tournament will show that.”
