Calzaghe was class but no way he beats both on the same night, I’m not even sure he’s beats either at his best, both these guys are incredibly talented boxers. I think Bivol vs him goes down to a close decision while I think the Beterbiev fight is a war.

The only way this happens is if both Bivol and Beterbiev are uncharacteristically weak to slaps.

Joe fought at 168. If you pick him by wide decision over Beterbiev at 175, ydksab. Sure, he might beat AB, but none of us know for sure, and if he did, he would have taken a hell of a lot of career shortening punishment. That wasn't Joe's style, he missed a few big fights such as Dariusz Michalczewski, RJJ prime, etc, so there's no way he would fight a killer like Beterbiev, so don’t mention them in the same breath.

I'm a massive Zaggers fan, but that is just nonsense talk.

Bivol is the more winnable fight for Zaggers IMO, but that would still be a real chess match.

Hee breaks his hands on Artur's head in the 1st round, and although Calz has more pop and heavier hands than a lot give him credit for, I don't think he has anything to keep Artur off him, and whilst Joe has a great beard and powers of recovery, he ain't been in with anyone that hits as hard as Beterbiev.

Right now, they would be intriguing matchups - with Bivol v Calz being more of a purists wet dream

Could Joe's adaptability , angles and volume find a way to unlock Bivol's excellent defence? Does Bivol have more gears and higher ceiling than he has shown so far if Cazlaghe did figure out a gameplan?

I'd have to make both Bivol & Beterbiew favourites at 175 - Joe's prime was at 168 and his too fights at 175 were 'marquee' money fights and hard to take much from.

Calzaghe is too unproven at 175 his only fights there were vs a totally shot RJJ and an old Hopkins who was still good to be fair. But Hopkins never stopped anyone at 175 and still dropped and rocked Calzaghe which is a bit of an eye opener.

Regarding prime fighters Bivol and Beterbiev would be the best fighters Calzaghe has fought by quite some distance.

Yes even better than Kessler IMO.

Well there fantasy fights so can be predicted any way anybody wants the results to be,but what we do know however is that Calzaghe fought twice at 175 and was dropped in the first round in both fights, that’s not getting off to a good start at 175 !

Calzaghe is one of my favourites, but he was a super middleweight boxer. He might be able to outwork Bivol with his work rate, but I have doubts that he could take Beterbiev's punches for 12 rounds.

Beterbiev walks him down and knocks him out. Bivol beats Calzaghe as well.

Joe Calzaghe is the most overrated boxer on this forum alongside Vitali Klitschko
