    From PhilBoxing..

Joe Calzaghe, boxing's "Prince of Wales" says he’s through after one more fight either against former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr or reigning WBC and WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik who is handled by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, the Welshman who scored a split decision victory over Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins at the Thomas & Mack Center on Sunday, Manila Time, said "I don’t want to push it too far. One more fight from me and then that is it, I’m done."

Calzaghe said "everyone wants to stay unbeaten and I’m no different. If you carry on too long eventually you will get beaten."

Calzaghe, who is also the undisputed super middleweight world champion said, "all that’s left is one more fight and that could be either Roy Jones Jr or Kelly Pavlik."

He described Roy Jones Jr as being totally different to the man he beat, Bernard Hopkins, who still continues to claim he won. Calzaghe said Jones is "a nice guy, full of respect and that will be a massive fight …an amazing way to finish off."

Roy Jones Jr himself told BBC Sport that a fight against Calzaghe "is all I want to do next. Nothing else but that."

The former No.1 on the Ring Magazine pound-for-pound list said since both the US and Britain want the fight he feels Calzaghe should agree to two fights "one over in his country and one in mine."

Haven't seen anyone posting anything about this or whatever.. Many people are already talking about a fight with Roy Jones in November, which will happen more than likely.. If Calzaghe is to beat Roy Jones in a fight and then retire, then congrats to an ATG, but him fighting another another old fighter is not what I wanted.. If he was to win, he would have beaten another legend, but what he did back then made him the legend he is today, as now he is not as good as he use to be, but I wouldn't be showing any disrespect to him.. I would like him to fight someone like Dawson, instead of someone like Roy Jones or Pavlik.. Anyways, if this Calzaghe/Jones fight does happen, then it should be good nonetheless..And as Roy Jones saying they should have a fight in his country and one in theirs, now that would be awesome, though I doubt that'll ever happen..

For that to happen, your country and then my country, Roy has to win. That way, Joe will want a rematch to avenge his only lost. Again, as I said on other threads, this will be a much better fight than the Hopkins fight.

    That is very true..:think

At first I thought a Calzaghe/Jones fight would be kinda' blah.. but the more I think about it, the more interesting the fight gets for me.. I would like to see him fight Dawson instead tho :yep

I would like to see Calzaghe last fight (and victory) against any Heavyweight belt holder who has the guts to take him on.

I agree... it would suck if he never fought Pavlik or any of the younger, faster fighters.
