Everyone knows how hard is Floyd to hit. But I've noticed one thing - you have chance to hit him only early in the fight. Corley, Zab, Mosley, Maidana and Pac - all of them landed good shots only in the first 4 rounds. After that Floyd is almost untouchable, at least you can't catch him with clean shot. That shows how great are his defensive skills.
He did say almost untouchable. The fact that Mayweather has only been in real danger 3 or 4 times in his career is amazing.
it's more of like he tries to fight on the first four rounds then switches to pure defense by avoiding exchanges at all costs. seems like his pain tolerance is not that good, he doesn't want to get hurt so he doesn't gamble to make a good fight to entertain the paying public. he just cruises to victory to preserve his pretty face.hehehe
De La Hoya had his best rounds in the middle of the fight. Rounds 6-8 if I remember correctly, thats when he was sticking that jab constantly.
