I only partly agree with you because I think your assessment of Casa's performance in the fight was over the top.

Casa displayed only three glaring acts complimenting his will, craft and intelligence, which to me, seemed more an indictment on Kat than Casa displaying any mastery of sorts.

Kats a great fighter to watch, however, this fight only proved that 'technically' he isn't up to any elite level standing while he still managed to maintain superiority for the larger part of the contest.

This leads me to think that against any decent level fighter, Casa still struggles or would have struggled to beat. So IMO, if you thought Casa was or wasn't ATG material before the fight, then beating Kat in such a fashion should not alter your opinion.
