In the last month, we had multiple top 10 heavyweights and good heavyweight prospects taking on each other. For the first time in 18 months since the pandemic started, boxing feels alive again. The heavyweight division feels alive. The top 4 heavies had a fight with one of the other top guys in the span of a month, which is rare in any era. And you can make the argument they're all in their primes. The result is 2 classic FOTY candidates. We had guys on the fringe of the heavyweight top 10 fight each other (Helenius vs Kownacki). We had 2 heavyweight prospects with undefeated records fight each other (Egjaba vs Sanchez). Last night's card is had one of the best undercards in a long time. Boxing is my favorite sport and just for a moment, I feel like the sport is on top again.
Yesterday's fight night was incredible. The best I remember in a long while. It includes both fightnights the one in UK and the one in USA. I enjoyed yesterday's fights like a boss (but the sanchez's fight, omg! awful)
yes Fury-Wilder 3, L Smith-Fowler and Cheeseman-Willamson were brilliant. But trust a Cuban to stink out the joint! Them Cubans should never be main support with their running style.
