I gotta add in that Cotto also got tired of hitting Margos face.

Margo's got a chin for sure.

:good He started absorbing punches because he gassed. He couldnt roll with anything because that takes more energy. After the 4th rd cotto should have realized he couldnt hurt marg and started going to the body, instead he kept throwing bombs upstairs which taxed his energy. I do think marg protected against the hook to the body though, but cotto should have jabbed to the body then. Clinching when he was in trouble would have helped also

Well, of course! It's a test all the way.

But those first couple rounds I saw Margarito landing some hard shots. Not consistently but he was getting through. Anytime Cotto stopped he was right on top of him banging away at his guard.

Exactly. Cotto head hunted the whole night. I feel he might of fell for his own hype that he had great power that could hurt anyone. I know Cottos left to the body is money but he should of threw jabs off the ropes then came with a strong right hand to the body. I definitly think that would of been a big factor had he done that.

Yes, it is part of his gameplan to demoralize his opponent.

It doesn't hurt that he can also throw back some leather too.

I see you're going out of your way to act as if Cotto losing was more his own fault then Margarito's constant attack doing it. You really are a piece of ****.

Cotto came in with a wrong gameplan and Margo took advantage of it and won.

Margo deserves 150% respect for that win. He deserved it and pull it out.

A great and gutsy performance by both but not one of the best in Modern ring history.

I'd suggest this is much easier said than done.

Maybe you need to rewatch this one.

Yes, he was in the fight until he had it taken away from him by violence.

    Absolutley.

    Absolutely it is.

Via punch resistance you can take away your opponents heart. That is EXACTLY what Margarito did. So, so, so hard to do over 12 rounds. Amazing.

    Good observation ;)
