    Trinidad was 40-0 going into the bout, was a 4-1 favourite while Hopkins was 36 going into the bout and seen at that time to be on the decline and past it.

    Not only did he put on a masterclass, he beat him senseless throughout the fight and knocked him out in the 12th.

    Nard dedicated this performance to all of the Americans because of the 9-11 attacks.

    It was amazing.

    One of my favourite fights of all time.

    It wasn't as good as when a shot Joe Calzaghe moved up in weight and travelled to Prime Hopkins back garden while Hopkins was on the Freddie Roach vitamins and schooled him in front of a global worldwide audience of millions.

    Tito was overrated and would do f-all in todays game, for 3 reasons:

    1- He had a glass chin.

    2- He wouldn't get away with loading his gloves

    3- Stricter PED testing.

    Great win and so was calzaghe over Hopkins. Don't know why calzaghe vs hop has anything to do with ops thread but I guess haters hate

    ROFLMAO Calzaghe NEVER legitimately beat Hopkins. Nard put the slapper on his aSS. That was a POLITICAL decision just like the two Taylor fights. Nard marched to his own drummer & refused to be a Yes man. That's what cost him these decisions
    Calzaghe knows he didn't really win This was borne out when Hopkins offered to fight a rematch in Wales Calzaghes home.
    The coward refused, shooting a finger to his Welsh fans & "RETIRED" To, according to reports, a life of drugs, booze, chasing skanky women & killing innocent little rabbits
    Meanwhile Bernard carried on fighting & kicking a$$ like a REAL FIGHTER & a REAL MAN does

    Some of the easiest money I ever made on a boxing fight was Tito-Hopkins. Shame I wasn't old enough to get to a casino otherwise I would have made out like a bandit.

    I agree...you could actually see Hops figuring out the *****s in Titos armor and taking advantage of them.

    The Calzaghe fight doesn't match up due to more competitive nature of the fight and no ko. And yes, Calzaghe won that fight..Bhop did absolutely nothing offensively to earn a decision. Joe wasn't exactly scintillating either but certainly did enough to win.
