    Duran was great at lightweight.

    He wasn’t at at jr middle or middle.

    Duran was hurt and outboxed here.

    stock down for Duran. Stock up for Laing who wasn’t a great fighter, only a decent one.

    I agree with this whole post except stock down for Duran because you said it yourself when you said he wasn't great at 154 or 160. He clearly wasn't great at 154 or 160 as those weren't his natural weights which is obvious. However he wasn't just great at 135. He was great at 147 as well.

    I remember watching it,,it didn't take long to see that he trained in a bar. I was hoping he might pull it out but I scored it for Laing something like 6-4 though it might have been worse. I thought he was finished after that.

    A lot of us felt he was finished after that. I thought permanent damage was imminent. But he seems to be doing well at 68.

    Training in a bar has its benefits. Let's not dismiss it as a negative. Think of the gas $ he must of saved not having to drive over to the bar after training. He's already there! The system works.

    Trainer Bill Prezant stated that Duran (only) weighed 178lbs when he got to Holmes' facility in Easton, but that he wouldn't stop eating and start training seriously. Not Laing's fault--I thought he looked great and fought a very smart fight to exploit his length and speed advantages. But Duran living the lazy fatboy lifestyle takes some of the luster off the win.

    Mickey duff said He's a F4cking old man !!!.live on prime time us tv.!!!.Kirk put on a masterful performance completely out boxing the legend.I know Duran wasn't very fit but he got taken apart.unfortunately Kirkland took a year off in east London on the wacky backy and missed out .A massive waste of talent.

    Duran is my favorite fighter EVER. But there is no excuse for a professional being out of shape. Duran however has always been predictable with his excuses. At least he was consistent lol.
