Wonderful clip, the snap on Frazier's hook, the follow up to the body, love it. Quarry was clearly stunned out of his mind for a second there.

Quarry died for a second and came back into his body, all within 1.5 seconds...

    Brutal punch.

As impressive as that was, how was Jerry's recovery from it? He looked like he was knocked out for a second but his body didn't let him go down. One tough mofo for sure.

Joe made those hooks look so easy.
    Awesome shot!

Damn tough indeed, but ultimately to his detriment, unfortunately.

Man could Jerry take a punch. That hook would have decapitated most fighters.

Lovely looking shot and showcases, for me, the best and worst of Joe.

A cracking, picture perfect hook but Joe's lack of right hand means there is a delay of well over two seconds before he fires off another shot. I realise this fight was when Joe was past prime but he lets Jerry off the hook (no pun intended) with the slow follow up when Jerry was momentarily defenceless. Maybe I'm being harsh but of the fighters I can imagine throwing a hook of that quality - and there aren't that many - I can't imagine the likes of Louis, Tyson or Holyfield not jumping all over Jerry with both hands after that shot.

To be fair, Frazier had his right hand cocked but didn't throw it. Instead, he stepped back and clearly expected Quarry to drop after taking that shot. When it became apparent that Quarry would somehow stay up, he then threw the right though more as a means to set up the hook to the body.

You can't say when Jerry's history of taking big shots started his sad decline but this one surely is on the short list of starters (or 'enders'). :(
Joe Louis had NO business refereeing a fight. Not long after, Jerry looks over at Joe asking him to stop it...Louis simply waved him back into the slaughter. :(

Yeah Frazier clearly hesitated thinking Quarry was on his way down! Damn Quarry was made of IRON!!!!

I doubt Wilder or AJ take that shot without being in serious trouble, Super Heavyweights or not!

Unbelievable how fast and crisp that shot is. Frazier had underrated hand speed. Technique and follow through were amazing as well. He was punching with the intention to go THROUGH the target while maintaining the fluid motion and proper form, which is what made poor Quarry's head snap.

It was so damn fast i didnt even notice the jab.
